Who Paid For The Rapist?

Moral decay. Rape. Lie.

The last image of southern Taiwan for me is like that.

A female member of a religious group was raped by a male member. To cover up this horrible scandal, many senior members in the same group gathered together and donated 1,000,000 NTD, hoping that by paying the poor victim and forcing her to drop the case, the whole religious group could cover the crime, deceive and escape the public report of all mainstream media in Taiwan, so the public image of the religious group wouldn’t be damaged, and the regular INCOME/INTEREST of them wouldn’t be affected.

Everyone was willing to pay to save the rapist. No, they saved the rapist so they could save the religious income and public image for all. They paid for the rape. The rapist was not charged, free of criminal record, out of any legal consequence, 100 % happy and sound.

If you are a woman, please try your best to learn Chinese and read Taiwan news carefully. Rape cases are so common here, almost 2-5 new cases are reported in different newspapers everyday.

If you are a woman, keep your distance from any male religious member here, especially in southern Taiwan. You don’t know who the SAVED rapist is; you even don’t know if he’s the only rapist who’s been paid and saved by so many senior religious members. No criminal record so far.

Country people didn’t know paying to cover a rape case and buying the rapist out has already been a crime in many modern countries for many years. Modern legal education in southern Taiwan was/is so poor that the older generations even didn’t know they could harm the whole society by covering a rapist up.

What a shame. People didn’t know that covering a rape case intentionally is morally wrong itself. The rapist ruined an innocent woman without paying anything: money, sentence, public blame, social punishment. Nothing. Other people paid for him. Other people paid for a rapist and put all women in Taiwan in danger.

If there were a special hell built for rapists, those who paid for the rapists and covered them up might end up accompanying them there, too. No one can gather a large sum of money to buy himself/herself out of the bad karma in hell; don’t be foolish.
