Looking For A Chinese Dictionary

Sorry -- 對不起

English you spoke, and probably a good and simple Chinese dictionary you were looking for. 「謝謝你,謝謝你,……謝謝你。」How politely and clearly you said all along, these three beautiful Chinese words. American English you spoke, a stylish iphone you held. Walking and searching, asking and thinking, you were in an international kind of big city, Taipei City, but you had a hard time getting a proper Chinese dictionary in the bookstore.

How come I never felt this way in U.S.?

Listend to your Chinese, 「謝謝你。」That somehow made me feel sorry for this city. We couldn't offer you a simple Chinese dictionary for English-speakers in the middle of this international city. You were so eager to buy one, this city just couldn't offer it right there, right then.

Nobody said "sorry" or 「對不起」 to you. That was even worse.

How come I never felt that way in U.S.?
